Above Abyss. Alternate route in the Slickrock riding area. 2.3 miles, bypasses about a mile of the Slickrock trail. Season March through November.
Agate Loop. Short and very easy loop in the Klondike Bluffs riding area. In gentle clay west of Copper Ridge Road. Can be combined with attached Jasper Loop. Season March through November.
Alaska Trail. Northernmost trail of the Klondike Bluffs trail system, with supporting trails Homer and Nome. Must be reached via other trails, minimum ride 6.5 miles. Moderate climb, upper-intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Amasa Back. Climb from Kane Creek west of Moab onto sandstone overlooking the Colorado. Plenty of slickrock areas, ledges and play opportunities. Moderate climb, advanced technical. Season March through November.

Arches Loop. Long varied loop includes paved trail, old roadway, dirt and open-rock road, then paved road. Includes climb along Moab fault parallel to Highway 191, Willow Springs Road, Arches National Park. 28 miles, about 2200 feet of climbing, easy technical but requires good conditioning. Season February through November.
Arth's Corner. Easier slickrock and singletrack trail, 1.5 miles in length. Located near Gemini Bridges, can be done as an out-and-back or as a 3.4-mile loop from the Bridges. 2nd segment of the Magnificent 7 epic ride. Season February through November.
Azurite. Singletrack 99% dirt in the Klondike Bluffs riding area, branching off Miner's Loop. Easier technical, but requires intermediate skills to reach the trail. Season March through November.
Baby Steps. Singletrack and open rock riding, located off the Klondike Bluffs trail. Advanced technical, several riding options of varying length. Loop ride is 15 miles with 1200 feet of climbing. Season February through November.
Bar B. One of the Moab "Brand Trails" accessed from the Bar M. West side of loop is advanced technical. East half can be done as out-and-back for beginners. Season February through November.
Bar M Loop. Easy technical trail, good for families, on doubletrack north of Moab. Great views. 7 miles, about 300 feet of climbing. Access to the other Moab "Brand Trails": Circle O, Rockin A, Bar B.  Season February through November.
Bartlett Wash. Short climb onto Entrada sandstone north of Moab. Broad playground area, stunts and hairy stuff as well as easy mellow riding. Short climb, intermediate technical. Season February through November.
Behind the Rocks. Sometimes brutish, occasionally sandy, this trail is the site of Moab's 24-hour race. This trail is advanced technical, and strenuous, even when ridden "downhill." Options include one-way with shuttle, shorter loops, or lunatic 28-mile loop that includes the Pritchett Arch trail back uphill. Season February through November

Blue Dot Trail.  The lower portion of this trail is now the Gold Bar Singletrack, joining the Gold Bar 4x4 route a bit before it reaches the rim (the upper portion of the Blue Dot climb remains closed). The Gold Bar Rim portion of Blue Dot (along the cliff edge between the top of the Gold Bar 4x4 route and the Portal Trail) was recently converted to a legal BLM-approved trail!
  Brand Trails. Trail System Overview
This system of trails is 7 miles north of Moab. The Bar M gets you to Circle 0, Rockin A, and Bar B. Multiple riding options from beginner/family to extreme. Season February through November
Bull Canyon. ATV track from the Gemini Bridges road to a foot trail under the arches. Options of combination ride with Little Canyon ST and Arth's Corner, or with Two Tortoise Rock. Distance variable, easier technical. Season April through mid-November. 
Bull Run. 5-mile slickrock and singletrack route above the Gemini Bridges area. Intermediate technical. This is the first section of the Magnificent 7 epic ride. Season April through mid-November. 
Burro Pass. This is a steep, technical trail high in the La Sal Mountains east of Moab. It's known primarily for its gnarly downhill portion. Altitude is 11,200 feet. Climbing is substantial, and relatively steep. For advanced riders only. Length around 10 miles. Season mid-July through September. 
Captain Ahab Very technical and strenous singletrack descending from ridgeline of Amasa Back. Experts only. Just over 4 miles with very significant climbing mixed into the descending. Drop-offs, cliff exposures. Season April through November.
Cedar Mountain. See Sovereign Upper Loop. 
Chicken Corner. A long ride that's technically easy but visually inspiring. Dirt road through Kane Creek Canyon, over Hurrah Pass, and on to Chicken Corner over the Colorado. Widely varied views. 43 miles. Options for shorter (or longer) versions. 
Chilkoot Pass. Very easy short lariat loop trail in the northwest corner of the Klondike Bluffs riding area. Connects to Agate Loop. Season year-round except immediately after snowstorms.
Chisholm. 7.2-mile trail linking the Mustang Loop to the Navajo Rocks loop. Out-and-back of part of a multi-trail loop ride. Intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Circle O. Undulating fun slickrock riding. Not brutal; no fear factor; just the right amount of challenge. Located off the Bar M Loop as the "O" of the M-O-A-B "Brand Trails." Season year-round except immediately after snowstorms.
Courthouse Wash. See Arches Loop 

Dead Horse Point (East Side Trails)  Three riding options of different lengths. Fun and satisfying for experienced riders, yet non-threatening and non-brutal for beginners. At 6000 feet, it's much cooler than Moab. Located in the state park, entry fee required. Open year round; recommended riding season mid-March through November. 

Dead Horse Point (West Side Trails)  Trail system west of Highway 313 opened in 2014. Links to trails on east side for longer rides. Located in the state park, entry fee required. Open year round; recommended riding season mid-March through November. 

Deadman's Ridge  This is a short technical singletrack within the Brand Trails system. It connects the Bar M and southern end of Lazy-EZ to the northern end of the Bar B, then to the Longbranch, then down to Old 191. Riding season mid-March through November. 

Dino Flow  This is an easy 4.5-mile singletrack within the Klondike Bluffs (Baby Steps) Trails system. It traverses the lower slopes below the EKG trail, crossing Baby Steps South, Salt Wash, Baby Steps North, and ending on Mega Steps. Riding season March through November. 
Eagle Eye. 2.8 mile trail extends from Lower Porcupine Singletrack and Kokopelli area down to Hawk's Glide and Porcupine Rim in the northern Sand Flats area. Part of Raptor Route downhill. Intermediate technical. Season April through October.
EKG. Technical trail traverses slope between Baby Steps south and Mega Steps in Klondike Bluffs trails complex. Season March through November.
Falcon Flow. Bi-directional trail, usually done top to bottom. In a zone of Kayenta sandstone in the eastern Sand Flats area. Intermediate technical. Length 5.4. Season March through November.
Fins & Things. Varying ride on ATV-track, with domes and fins of Navajo sandstone similar to the Slickrock Trail, with doubletrack connectors on desert floor or Kayenta sandstone. Some sand riding. Intermediate technical. Length 10.5 miles, shorter options. Season February through November.
Fisher Mesa. Great singletrack ride starting at 8200 feet elevation, drops 1000 feet for 9-mile out-and-back. Option of (tough!) continued ride to end of mesa and back, 21 miles. Some cliffside exposure. Significant climb, upper-intermediate technical. Season May through September.
Flat Iron Mesa. Easy dirt-road ride (except when it's raining) to a great view over Kane Springs Canyon and Hatch Wash. 7 miles, about 800 feet of climbing out-and-back. Season March through November.
Flat Pass. Long loop or shuttle ride, mostly on doubletrack. Some exposed rock but no big open areas. Significant climb, upper-intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Gemini Bridges. Gravel road from Highway 191 to the Gemini Bridges. Easier technical but a few stiff climbs. Season February through November.
Getaway.  Five-mile trail in the upper Mag 7 (Gemini Bridges) area. Combine with other trails and dirt roads in riding area. Intermediate technical. Season February through November.
Geyser Pass Singletrack.  High-altitude trail (10,500 feet) in the La Sals, forms first segment of Whole Enchilada ride. Also short loop or figure-eight options. Season mid-July through September.
Gold Bar 4x4.  After 4.3 miles on the Gemini Bridges road, this trail becomes technical, climbing fun technical rock to fantastic views of Gold Bar Canyon and the Gold Bar Rim. Moderate climbing, advanced technical. Season February through November.
Gold Bar Rim Trail.  Four miles of tech rock along the cliffs of the Gold Bar Rim. Extends from Gold Bar 4x4 trail overlook to Portal Trail. Significant climbing, expert-advanced technical. Season April through November.
Gold Bar Singletrack.  Two miles of slickrock riding, then the trail joins the Gold Bar Rim road. Part of the Magnificent 7 epic ride. Season February through November.
Golden Spike.  Advanced-technical trail shared by jeeps. Lots of open rock, ledges, stunts. Advanced technical, significant climbing, must be reached via Gold Bar Rim trail or Poison Spider Mesa Trail. Season February through November.
Gravitron and VertiGo.  At the far north end of the Klonzo trail system, these trails offer more advanced-level riding. Season February through November.
Green Dot Trail. Area closed. This is an old unofficial route above Gemini Bridges most of which has been replaced by the Bull Run trail; short section rerouted to protect bighorn sheep habitat.
Great Escape.  This 3.5 mile trail begins on the Gemini Bridges Road. Intermediate technical, not too tough. Loop ride 7.5 miles, longer ride including Bull Run described. Season March through November.
Hawk's Glide. Part of Raptor Route. Joins Eagle Eye to Porcupine Rim trailhead for connection to Falcon Flow. Intermediate technical. Length 2 miles. Season April through October.
Hazard County. Downhill-only trail at the base of the La Sal Mountains near Warner Campground. Features gap jumps and some armored stunts. Quick turns. Shuttled downhill vs part of larger ride, such as Whole Enchillada. Season May through October.
Hidden Canyon. Shorter ride north of Bartlett Wash, with some open slickrock areas and views over Hidden Canyon. Intermediate technical, slight climb. Season February through November.
Hidden Valley. This isn't usually a stand-alone ride, because there's a 1/3 mile portage (rock-scramble) up and back down the cliffs. Hidden Valley usually done in combination with the Moab Rim as a loop ride. Season late March through November.

Hildalgo. Short trail connecting Wildcat to 7-up in the Horsethief Riding area on Highway 313. Season March through November.
Homer. Connector from Dino Flow trail to the Alaska Trail in the Klondike Bluffs trail system.. Moderately stiff climb, easier technical. Season March through November.
Horsethief Campground trails (Wrangler, Rowdy, Chisholm). Trails that start from Horsethief camping area, suitable for beginner and family rides. Can also be done from Chisholm trailhead on Highway 313. Connection to the main Horsethief Riding Area. Season March through November.

Inside Passage. Short connector singletrack that bypasses part of the Klondike Bluffs doubletrack trail from the southern parking area. Easy technical, mild climb. Season February through November.
Instep.  Short trail connecting Sidestep North to Baby Steps, used as shortcut to climb Baby Steps, or an extension to Baby Steps when combined with Sidestep North. Season March through November.
Jackson Hole Loop. Brutal 23-mile loop combines the easy Hurrah Pass route with a technical return through Jackson Hole, up an insanely difficult portage climbing the cliffs with your bike on your back, then down the advanced-tech Amassa Back trail. Significant climbing. Season February through November.
Jackson Singletrack. Extremely technical, dangerous, and potential deadly singletrack route from the top of Amasa Back down to Kane Creek. Significant climbing. For true high-experts only! Season April through October.
Jasper Loop. Short and very easy loop in the Klondike Bluffs riding area. In gentle clay west of Copper Ridge Road. Can be combined with Agate Loop via short connector (Midline) trail. Season March through November.
Jedi Slickrock. Open-riding area on Entrada sandstone across from Bartlett Wash. Can be done with intermediate skills, advanced skills recommended. Season March through November.
Jimmy Keen. Singletrack from the La Sal Loop road meandering Jimmy Keen Flat to join the top of Upper Porcupine Singletrack (UPS). Longer alternative to Kokopelli when riding the Whole Enchilada (adds 5 miles). Season mid-June through October.
Jurassic. Singletrack in the Klondike Bluffs area, connects Agate-Jasper loop to southern Klondike Bluffs road. Easy technical. Season February through November.
Killer B. Extreme-tech short downhill off the Bar B loop. Goes to old highway 191. 8-mile loop ride vs shortcut back to Moab. Season March through November.

Klondike Bluffs. Mostly doubletrack, short singletrack, then short hike to viewpoint overlooking Arches National Park's Klondike Bluffs. Intermediate technical, two short climbs. Season March through November.
Klonzo Beginner Slickrock (Carousel).  Slickrock and easy dirt singletrack suitable for young children and true beginners. Little slope; suitable for single-gear and small-wheeled bikes. Season March through November.
Klonzo North Trails.  New in fall 2012, the Klonzo trail system offers rides of varying length on slickrock and dirt singletrack. Season March through November.
Klonzo South Trails.  12 new trails opened in fall 2014 south of Willow Springs Road. Vary from upper-intermediate to very easy (suitable for young children and out-of-shape true beginners). Kokopelli Trail.   Porcupine SectionOnion Creek SectionTop of the World Section.  Westwater SectionFruita.  The Kokopelli is a series of doubletrack or dirt-road trails extending 142 miles from Fruita Colorado to Moab. Most riders do only a piece of the Kokopelli as part of another ride, but it's possible to do a monster one-day or a multi-day camping ride of the entire length. Season March through November.
Lazy-EZ Loop.  This is a very easy singletrack loop located in side the Bar M loop of the Brand Trails north of Moab. Season March through November.
Little Canyon Rim (Eagles Nest, Metal Masher). Long ride. Lariat-loop or downhill with shuttle. Significant climbing, some technical rock riding. Great views. Season March through November.
Little Canyon Singletrack. Easier trail consisting of slickrock riding and singletrack, 2.3 miles in length. Can be done as a loop or combined with other trails for longer rides. 3rd segment of the Magnificent 7 epic ride. Season March through November.
Little Salty. Uphill or downhill route in the middle of the Klondike Bluffs trails complex. Reached via Copper Ridge Rd or Baby Steps Loop. Season March through November.
Longbranch. Expert-level singletrack trail, only 1.1 miles long, but requiring other expert trails to reach. Sample ride is 12 miles. Part of the Brand Trails complex. Season March through November.
  Magnificent 7Trail System Overview
Several trail segments of singletrack combine with technical 4x4 routes for a 22-mile epic ride. Season April through mid-November. 
Malachite. Short connector trail in the Klondike Bluffs riding area, branching off Miner's Loop and extends to Baby Steps. Upper-intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Maverick. Short one-way option on the east side of the North 40 loop. Part of the Brand Trails system. Season late February through November.
Mega Steps. Uphill or downhill route in the far north end of the Klondike Bluffs trails complex. Reached via Copper Ridge Rd or Baby Steps Loop. EKG Trail's north end is at Mega Steps. Season March through November.
Miner's Loop.  Short upper-intermediate to advanced loop trail forks off the southern end of the EKG Trail in the Klondike Bluffs riding area. Season March through November.
Moab Canyon Trail.  See (Old 191) paved bike path
Moab Rim. Super-grunt climb from the Colorado River up to the rim overlooking Moab, then further doubletrack south along the Rim. Very difficult climb, advanced-technical downhill. Season March through November.
Monitor and Merrimac bike loop. This is a bicycle-only loop that's half slickrock and a quarter singletrack. (Not to be confused with the long, sandy dirt-road jeep route of the same name!) Around 6 miles, 500 vertical feet of climbing. Suitable for strong beginners. Season February through November.
Moonlight Meadows.  Short intermediate loop ride or long and tough classic loop with significant climbing. High-altitude in the La Sal Mountains. Season July through September.
Mustang Loop.  Lariat-loop trail in the Horsethief Area riding system, key to the other trails. Easier-intermediate technical, around 4 miles with longer options. Season March through November.
Navajo Rocks. Loop ride along Highway 313, sandstone and singletrack. Eastern loop of 9 miles, or big loop of 18 when combined with western trails. Upper-intermediate technical, moderate up-and-down climbing. Season February through November.
Navajo Rocks West. 10-mile loop linking three western trails, or 18-mile loop using all five Navajo Rocks area trails. Upper-intermediate technical, moderate up-and-down climbing. As of 2014, significant loose dirt and sand. Season February through November.
Nome. Trail from Dino Flow trail to the Alaska Trail in the Klondike Bluffs trail system. Upper-intermediate to advanced section loops around above Alaska. Moderately stiff climbing. Season March through November.
North 40. This is a 4 mile singletrack loop within the northern end of the Bar M loop. It's easy- to mid-intermediate technical but can be handled by experienced beginners. Part of the Brand Trails system. Season late February through November.
Old 191 paved bike path. This smooth paved bike path follows the route of the former highway 191 from the Colorado River on the outskirts of Moab all the way to Highway 313 (the road to Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point). Season year-round with the exception of heavy-snow days.
Onion Creek. Dirt-road ride with multiple creek-crossings, through a deep narrows of colorful sandstone. Option of out-and-back with moderate climbing and easy technical, or long downhill ride with a shuttle vehicle. Season February through November.
Pipe Dream. 4.7-mile upper-intermediate to advanced singletrack trail on the southwest edge of the Moab Valley. Out-and-back or loop options. Season March through November.
Poison Spider. Climb from the Colorado onto the Navajo sandstone mesa northwest of Moab. Significant climb, advanced technical. Connects to the Portal Trail and Gold Bar. Season February through November.
Portal Trail. Famous (or infamous) descent along the edge of the cliffs above the Colorado. Advanced technical, risk of death if you get careless. Reached via Poison Spider or Gold Bar. Season March through November.
Porcupine Rim. A Must-Ride Classic! Moab's premiere downhill. Moderate climb to the Rim, then a long technical descent. Suitable for DH bikes, can be handled with a hardtail. Cliff-side exposure. Advanced technical. Season March through November.
Porcupine Singletrack.  Singletrack along the cliff edge higher on the mountain, joining the Porcupine Trail. As downhill ride starting with Kokopelli and finishing with lower Porcupine Rim, or as a loop ride using the first 4 miles of Porcupine Rim to close the loop. Season late April through early November.
Pothole Arch.  Intermediate trail 4.4-mile out-and-back, but reached via the technical and fairly steep Amasa Back trail. Ride described is 15 miles round trip. Season late April through early November.
Pritchett Canyon. Downhill ride to Colorado, reached via Kane Creek, Behind the Rocks, or Prostitute Butte Trails. Wicked descent from White Knuckle Hill. Advanced technical. Season March through November.
Prospector.  Tiny (1 mile) trail on the steep hillside above Highway 191 at the far north end of Moab. Upper-intermediate technical. Season late February through November.
Prostitute Butte. Sandy doubletrack ride south of Moab. Easier technical, but some areas of deep sand. Connects to Behind the Rocks and Pritchett Canyon, Kane Creek. Snow allowing, can be ridden year-round.
Ramblin. Part of Navajo Rocks system along Highway 313, sandstone and singletrack. Season February through November.
Raptor Route. 10 miles of downhill trail extends from Lower Porcupine Singletrack and Kokopelli area down to Sand Flats Road near Fins & Things. Includes Eagle Eye, Hawk's Glide, Falcon Flow. Intermediate technical. Season April through October.
Rockin A.  Up-and-down riding on rolling sandstone. One of the Moab Brand Trails branching off the Bar M Loop. Upper-intermediate technical skills required. Season late February through November.
Rockstacker.  Highly technical singletrack route from the Pothole Arch trail at the top of Amasa Back, connecting back to Amasa further downhill, or to the extremely technical (and dangerous) Jackson Singletrack descent. Season April through November.
Rocky Tops. Part of Navajo Rocks system along Highway 313, sandstone and singletrack. Season February through November.
Rodeo.  9-mile loop ride in the west Horsethief area. Easy-intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Rowdy.  Tiny (0.5-mile) easy loop ride at the Horsethief Campground; connects to the Horsethief area trail system. Easier technical with almost no climbing. Season March through November.
Rusty Nail.  Technical climb from lower Gold Bar Rim 4x4 road to the Golden Spike. Can be part of a local loop, or a long point-to-point epic. Season April through November.
Rusty Spur.  Very easy and short singletrack trail located just off the Old 191 paved bike trail in the Brand Trails area north of Moab. Season March through November.
Salt Wash Singletrack.  Newer route with singletrack plus technical rock riding, parallels the Sovereign Trail, with several cross-connections for various riding options. Advanced technical, moderate climbing. Can opt-out of hairy technical descent. Season late February through November.
Seven Up (7-Up).  Newer route route from Highway 313 to the top of Bull Run of the Magnificent 7. Intermediate technical, moderate climbing. Used as a shuttled downhill, or as a climbing route for a tough loop ride. Season late February through November.
Sidestep North and South.  Alternate routes along Baby Steps in the Klondike riding area, offer shortcut versus extended rides versus a loop ride by combining them. Season March through November.
Sidewinder Bar M.  Singletrack on the southern end of the Bar M system that follows the course of the canyon. Used as a dirt connector between other trails or between the Bar M and Moab. Season late February through November.
Slickrock TrailA Must-Ride Classic! World's most famous bike trail, one mile east of Moab on Navajo sandstone. Practice Loop for new riders. Advanced technical, strenuous with moderate long climbs and some short brute climbs. Season late February through November.

Sovereign Singletrack.  Singletrack through desert, open rock, ledges. Some views. For the advanced or strong intermediate rider, moderately strenuous. Options for loop, out-and-back, point-to-point. Shared with motorcycles. Season late February through November.
Sovereign to Klondike.  Northernmost section of the Sovereign Singletrack, newly opened in 2013. Intermediate technical. Season late February through November.
Sovereign Upper Loop (Cedar Mountain).  Loop on Cedar Mountain is rough narrow singletrack. Can be done by itself, or as add-on to rides using Sovereign and Salt Wash. For stronger experienced riders. Season late February through November.
Top of the World. Out-and-back big climb,18-miles round trip with 3300 vertical feet of climbing, some of it fairly technical. Goes to a fabulous viewpoint overlooking the Onion Creek Narrows. Season April through November. 
Tusher Canyon. Northwest of Moab, climb Entrada sandstone to a playground overlooking the canyon. Short, variety of stuff for stay-and-play. Upper-intermediate technical, moderate climb. Season March through November. 
Two Tortoise Rock. Loop ride with different options for length and difficulty. Suitable for early-intermediates. Located below Gemini Bridges area northwest of Moab Season April through November. 
UFO Trail.  Short connector trail from upper south Baby Steps to upper Little Salty. Allows alteration of Baby Steps Loop to avoid jeep road, or lariat loop ride w EKG and Little Salty. Season March through November
Western Rim Trail.  Awesome 24-mile loop ride on the Colorado River 60 miles east of Moab. Moderate climbing, upper-intermediate technical, mostly singletrack. Terrific views. Cliffside exposures go on for miles. Not for the timid. Season April through November
Whirlwind Loop.  Short loop ride in the Horsethief mountain bike riding area, reached via other trails. Intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Wildcat.  Intermediate-technical trail in the Horsethief mountain bike riding area, reached via other trails. Connects the upper Whirlwind Loop to 7-up. Season March through November.

  Whole Enchilada Trail System Overview
This is an advanced-level downhill epic starting high in the La Sal Mountains and ending at the Colorado River, for 7000 feet of descending over 27 miles. It includes Burro Pass, Hazard County, Kokopelli, the upper and lower Porcupine Singletrack, and Porcupine Rim. With peak elevation of 11,200 feet, the season for this ride is mid-July through September only.
Wrangler.  Tiny (0.7-mile) very easy loop ride at the Horsethief Campground; connects to the Horsethief area trail system. Easier technical with almost no climbing. Season March through November.
Zephyr Trail.  Four-mile connector from the Brand trail system along Highway 191 and the Klonzo system on Willow Springs Road. Mostly doubletrack, easier technical with almost no climbing. Season March through November.
