Albion Basin (Little Cottonwood). At Alta ski resort, a broad gravel road climbs Albion Basin. Climbing is mild, but may be taxing due to the altitude. Beautiful, good for family rides and beginners. Season July through September.
Big Water  see Mill Creek, Dog Lake (Mill Creek Canyon). 
Catherines Pass (Little Cottonwood Canyon). Tough and steep route climbing above Albion Basin to Catherines Pass. Great views. Used as a route to adventure rides linking to other canyons. Significant climb, high altitude. Season July through September.
Desolation Lake (Upper Mill Creek) (Mill Creek Canyon). Climb up the Great Western Trail through upper Mill Creek Canyon, then onto the Wasatch Crest to Desolation Lake. Cool forested singletrack ride, great views. Significant climb, intermediate technical. Season July through September.
Devils Castle (Little Cottonwood Canyon). Loop ride with upper-intermediate singletrack looping around above Albion Basin. Great views. Significant climb, high altitude. Season July through September.
Dog Lake. (Big Water Trail, Mill Creek Canyon).  A Must-Ride Classic! Classic canyon climb, suitable for newcomers, from upper Mill Creek Canyon to Dog Lake. Moderate climb on singletrack, intermediate technical, not too long. Forested switchbacks. Season July through September.
Dog to Desolation.  (Big Water Trail, Mill Creek Canyon). One-mile connector from Dog Lake to upper Mill D North Fork trail. See information on Dog Lake and Mill D North pages. 
Little Cottonwood Creek (Little Cottonwood Canyon).  A Must-Ride Classic! Broad singletrack follows the old pipeline route along Little Cottonwood Creek, from the mouth of the canyon up to the ruins. Significant climb, but not too long. Intermediate technical with a few rough sections. Season May through November.
Mill Creek Pipeline (Mill Creek Canyon).  Popular beginner-level trail!  Singletrack follows the old pipeline route in Mill Creek, mostly flat riding with one section of switchbacks having about 600 ft altitude change. Goes to viewpoint overlooking SLC. Suitable for newcomers, easy to intermediate technical. Season March through November.
Mill Creek - Wasatch Crest - Midmountain Epic. Longer ride (30 miles, over 4000 feet of climbing). Instructions for variation on one of Utah's best high-altitude loops for very conditioned riders. Season July through September.
Mill Creek Canyon (Mill Creek Canyon). Climb up the Great Western Trail through upper Mill Creek Canyon, then onto the Wasatch Crest to Desolation Lake. Cool forested singletrack ride, great views. Significant climb, intermediate technical. Season July through September.
Mill Creek Meadows (Mill Creek Canyon). Connects Wasatch Crest to Mill Creek Canyon. Alternate route for the Wasatch Crest ride or a brutal up-and-back lariat loop. Significant climb, expert technical. Season July through September.
Mill D North Fork (Big Cottonwood). Somewhat technical singletrack, usually used as a downhill from the Wasatch Crest. Out-and-back to Desolation Lake has substantial climb, upper-intermediate technical. Season July through September. 
Rattlesnake BST (and Rattlesnake Gulch). Trail from lower Mill Creek Canyon up to Pipeline trail. Intermediate with moderate climbing, Season May through November. 
Red Pine Road Trail (Mill Creek Canyon). Straight and fast route up Mill Creek Canyon but a stiff climb. Add to Big Water for a loop ride Season July through September. 
Snowbird Resort Cross-country. Little Cottonwood Canyon resort offers two short loops that include singletrack, or major-vertical ride on the tram road. Longer loop and tram road have very steep climbs. Option of riding tram to mountaintop for descent. Season July through September. 
Snowbird Big Mountain Trail. Intermediate-tech trail descends from Hidden Peak tram down to Snowbird base, 7.5 miles with 3000 vertical. Downhill-only after 11 a.m., to climb start before 8-9. Reached via tram for fee; climb lift road. Season July through September. 
Solitude Resort Loop (Big Cottonwood). Narrow singletrack loop, with a bit of doubletrack in the middle, forming a wide circle through Solitude's ski runs in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Moderate climb, upper-intermediate to advanced technical. Views over Big Cottonwood. Season mid-June through September. 
Upper Mill Creek Pipeline (Mill Creek Canyon).  Intermediate singletrack runs parallel to the canyon road, linking the lower Pipeline trail to the upper-canyon trailheads. 800 ft altitude change. Season late June through early October.
Wasatch Crest - Midmountain Loop Options.  Trail page lists multiple options for the epic Wasatch Crest ride starting from Big Cottonwood, Mill Creek, or Park City with links to trail pages and individual GPS tracks. Season July through October.
Wasatch Crest Trail (descends Mill Creek Canyon).  A Must-Ride Classic! Classic ride from the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon down into Mill Creek Canyon. Initial brutal climb to reach the crest, then a long downhill cruise. Intermediate technical with one short (walkable) section of extreme technical and a few short advanced technical stretches. Requires shuttle vehicle. Season July through September.
