Ghost Falls Trail  (Ghost Falls Loop, Clarks Ghost Loop)
Ghost Falls is a great ride that's close to civilization. It starts in Draper at the Ballpark parking lot (you can also do this loop from the Clarks trailhead, or from the Bonneville Shoreline Mike Weir trailhead). The official Ghost Falls loop rides to the falls and back, 3.5 miles with an altitude gain of 750 feet. The climbing is fairly mellow except for one short stiff doubletrack section just before the falls loop. This ride would be intermediate technical, with a couple of upper-intermediate spots on the falls loop itself.
A great option is the Clarks Ghost Loop. Instead of heading straight for the falls, you head for Clarks Trail. After taking Clarks to Traverse Ridge, you head down the gravel Corner Canyon Road 1/2 mile to find the upper end of the Ghost Falls Trail. This is a fairly technical descent, but great fun. Altitude change by this route is 1200 feet, distance 6.6 miles.
You can also do a loop by climbing the Canyon Hollow (Pipeline) Trail. But it's a nasty granny-gear climb, and you only save about 1/3 mile compared to riding the big loop via Clarks.

Getting there (LCC, Equestrian Park trailhead): Take the Bluffdale exit from I-15 and turn east towards the mountains. Continue on Highland Drive until you reach the ballpark parking lot. Directly across the street from the parking, the Lower Corner Canyon trail heads uphill (GPS N 40° 30.351' W 111° 50.721'). To reach the trailhead from the north (Sandy area), take 13th East southward until it ends at the stop sign just past the underpass. Turn left and drive 1/4 mile.
