START where the Rodeo Trail crosses the paved road (see map).
1. Where the River trail branches off of the Middle Trail, look under the biggest rock in the pile.
TURN RIGHT onto the River Trail.
2. When the River Trail crosses the road for the first time, go behind the bushes in back of the “Alpine City Trails” sign and look under the leaves.
3. When you go over a bridge, walk down underneath the bridge and lift up a rock.
4. When you cross another gravel road, look under a rock that’s behind the “Alpine City Trails” sign.
GO THROUGH A BIG DIP.
5. When you go around a bend with trees leaning over the trail, look for a rock with a red stripe on it. The prize is under a smaller rock behind the big rock.
6. When you arrive at a gravel road with an “Alpine City Trails” sign on the other side, stop. There’s a treasure under a rock behind the sign.
Now TURN LEFT on the gravel road. Go a little ways, then TURN LEFT AGAIN on the main gravel road.
7. See a pipe sticking up on the side of the road? There’s a treasure under the rock pile in front of it.
8. When the road forks, turn right (don’t go straight). On the inside (right side) of the curve, look under a rock pile.
9. Watch for a spot where a trail crosses the road (the second time a trail crosses the road) where there’s an old dead tree lying on the ground. Look under a small pile of rocks behind the dead tree.
NOW TURN RIGHT onto the narrow trail.
10. See an old tire? There’s a treasure inside it. Hope it’s your size!
