Banner and Logo Advertising
Banner or logo ads can be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. The
advertiser can select the specific page and location for the banner ad. However,
banners and logos are restricted to pages that don't have an exclusive sponsor.
(If an advertiser is paying to be the exclusive sponsor of a Trail
page, no other advertising is allowed on that page.)
Banner ads are self-contained graphics in JPEG or GIF format, with no
accompanying text. The graphic is a hyperlink to the advertiser's web site, or
to a specific page on that web site. Advertising will be accepted in the form of
standard banners, half-banners, and logos, as specified below.
Standard Banner: Height 75 pixels (1 inch at 72
ppi), Width 504 pixels (7 inches at 72 ppi) or less
Occupies center of page, placed between paragraphs of text or at end of
page. $20 per placement (1 year). Index pages (Features,
Goodies, Trails) $200 per year.

Half-banner: Height 75 pixels, approximate (1 inch at 72 ppi),
Width 252 pixels (3.5 inches at 72 ppi) or less

Usually placed alongside a short paragraph of text,
within the body of the page. May also be placed opposite page title,
or at end of page. $15 per placement (1 year).
Index pages (Features, Goodies, Trails) $150 per year. |

Logo: Maximum size 150 pixels square (approx
2x2
inches at 72 ppi)
Usually placed along the side (to left or right) of a paragraph of
text. $20 per placement (1 year). Index pages (Features,
Goodies, Trails) $200 per year. |

As you review our pages, keep this in mind: any advertisement for medical
software, and any ad for our CD or books, is simply a "placeholder ad."
These are our OWN advertisements, and this space is available for you to occupy
with your own advertising!
You can send a placement-ready graphic to us, or you can select from template
banners we've created. (If you select a template banner, you can place text
yourself with an art program, or just tell us what text
you'd like on the banner. We'll email the banner to you for final approval, then
place it on the web site.) Click here to view blank

We charge a one-time $30 fee to set up
your art work and create the hyperlink that sends customers to you. (For orders
over $150 where you supply your own JPG or GIF banner, we'll waive the setup
fee.) Then you pay
a per-placement fee, depending on the number of times the banner is placed on
our site. You select pages for your advertising banners, and tell us (for each
page), where you'd like the banner placed. Here's a sample:

The above sample order has 10 ad placements for 1 year for a total of $230.
That's less than $2 per month per banner.
We reserve the right to place additional banner ads, when requested by an
advertiser, on any page that has not
been reserved for an exclusive sponsor. (This does not require the permission of
an advertiser who already has advertisement or logo on that page.) However, in no
case will we place more than three (3) advertisements per page. We also reserve
the right to refuse advertising that, in the opinion of UtahMountainBiking.com's
webmaster, is either offensive, pornographic, or non-pertinent to mountain
biking.
