Day before Yesterday, I ran into tall steve at the tibble fork/deercreek/ridge trail intersection and he wanted me to update him today on how the south fork portion of the trail is. There was no dead fall and no snow on the trail. There were sections where the stream was running down the trail and some muddy sections to where you had to ride on the side, but overall the trail was in good shape as there were also a lot of dry sections.
I started at the pine hollow trail head, biked up to the ridge trail, down the deer creek trail up the southfork trail and down the summit trail from the summit to salamander flat and back down to pine hollow for a 10.5 mile ride. There was very little snow on the whole trail, only some sections in Pine HOllow and the think forest section on the deer creek trail. Other than that, it was smooth sailing. Also there are hardly any sections that are rutted out. most of it is very smooth and in good condition (especially the ridge section).
I added a picture that shows the typical muddy section on the south for trail and a picture from the ridge looking back at timp and also the tall tree the crashed into a sign at the intersection.

Huge Tree fell at the DC, 157, tibble fork junction

Please do. I just started tele skiing this winter to stay in shape and have a good time doing it and I'm diggin' it. I'm not very good at it yet, but I can make a somewhat sloppy tele turn. Not bad for a guy who only got to a resort once and the rest of the time was spent in the BC.

Lets do it, I am always trying to find guys to go with. I went up above white pine lake today. It snowed 4-5 inches on us as we were skinning up. Got some great powder above the lake on lake peak!
I am usually free in the evening to go either mountain biking or skiing. Lots of snow left, looked like January up there...
