Rode Glenwild today, w/ one run down dropout and up 24-7. Few tiny mud spots on 24-7, but the backside switchbacks on Glenwild were greasy and snowy and icy. Easily rideable, and trail is in good shape. I think the Dog is probably too wet/muddy.
I hear Round Valley trails are good to go. |

FYI, the trails leaving from the ice rink are closed "for safety reasons" because they are putting in a pipeline. They say they'll be open again in the spring.
I don't have verification, but I bet that all of those trails can still be accessed from the other trailheads. It looks like only the first 1/4 mile or so of Rambler (from the rink) was bulldozed.
I'll be riding Round Valley today or tomorrow and can update if need be. |

Rode bobs basin today from spring creek trail head. All of the ride was in great shape only one muddy spot on the shady turn on the bobs basin return trail where that creek passes the trail. Yestarday I rode lost prospector from aire ave in town to round valley and back. All of round valley is in good shape. Except where it is closed due to construction of that pipeline. You can still start at the ice rink and go up the doubble track gravel rode until you get to somewhere / nowhere els. Lost prospector was half good and half snow covered from aire ave to sos trail. Mix of good dry to tacky trail to fast firm ice for the ride to the rail trail. _________________ "Officially known as Highway U-210, more commonly known as Little Cottonwood Canyon and unofficially acknowledged as the epicenter of the greatest snow on earth."Andrew McLean" |

Forgive me because I am having a hard time visualizing this.....which double track gravel road are you referring to?
Going off of memory, the one that started right near the rink and that would go up and intersect with the singletrack (from the rink trailhead), was bulldozed....I thought?? |

| Nevermind, just rode over there and found a way up to Matt's Flat and went from there. There sure is a lot of people on it now.....we're used to practically having it to ourselves! |

FYI..Went over to spring creek trail head today and started counter-clockwise up to the Glenwild road and over past the bench..all of that was in great shape. Just past that only one snow spot was found on the last little switchback before the double track work road. Just made a loop after that back down to spring creek trailhead. I figure bob's and the backside of the loop are still snow covered. _________________ "Officially known as Highway U-210, more commonly known as Little Cottonwood Canyon and unofficially acknowledged as the epicenter of the greatest snow on earth."Andrew McLean" |
